JULIE FRAGAR: BIOGRAPH
Curated by Dr Jonathan McBurnie, Biograph is the first career survey of Fragar’s work. Mapping more than twenty years of practice, the exhibition assembles key works made between 1998 and 2021 from museum, gallery and private collections including The Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney, Art Gallery of South Australia, Adelaide and Queensland Art Gallery/Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane. The project was developed through Perc Tucker Regional Gallery, Townsville, travelling to University of Sunshine Coast Art Museum, Tweed Regional Gallery and Rockhampton Art Museum from 2022-2024.
The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue with essays by McBurnie, Rosemary Hawker and Elisabeth Findlay and Francis Parker and an education kit developed by PTRG.
